William A. Brady

William A. Brady, 73, husband, of Mary E. (Kehoe) Brady, 217 E. Hector St.,

Conshohocken, died yesterday in Sacred Heart Hospital.

A native of St. Louis, Mo., he had lived in Conshohocken for more than 40 years

and was a well known building contractor. He had also been proprietor of a

Conshohocken tavern and had worked at the Philadelphia Navy Yard until

his retirement in 1949.

He was a member of Conshohocken Knights of Columbus Council 1603,

Philadelphia Carpenter's Union and St. Matthew's Church. He was a former

member of the American Legion and Conshohocken Veterans Foreign Wars.

Surviving are his wife and these children: John J., Mrs. David Vernon and

Mrs. Edward Hartshorne, all at home; Mrs. Margaret Timer, Norristown;

James J., Normandy, Phila., and Mrs. Francis Foley, 103 Key St., Conshohocken.

Another son, William Jr., husband of Florence Brady, was killed in service

of his country as a member of the U. S. Air Force in 1950. Fifteen grandchildren

also survive.

Services will be 9 A. M. Saturday from the Donald E. Moore Funeral Home,

16 E. First Ave., Conshohocken. Solemn Requiem Mass will be offered in

St. Matthew's Church at 10. Interment will be in St. Matthew's Cemetery.
